Currently, our work largely involves delivering and developing outreach interventions that are focused on prevention. We believe that early help is necessary to reduce the risk of sexual exploitation for the girl child.
Our first Love In Action (LIA) Retreat, held in 2016, was targeted at 50 girls from two selected public Junior High Schools in Kumasi. As part of our prevention strategy, a series of workshops were delivered over a three-day weekend retreat by qualified social workers and a medical doctor. Each girl who attended was provided with toiletries and a goodie bag of feminine hygiene products.
Since then, we have grown in our capacity to deliver workshops on a more frequent basis. However, our monthly workshops which operate as a hub for mass mentoring of our 2016 retreat alumni and other young women who have since become a part of the RTB family are currently hold with plans to resume on a quarterly basis in the second quarter of 2025.
Currently, we are running a club for approximately 100 girl child students at St Augustine Anglican JHS, Akwatia Line on a fortnightly basis. Plans to expand the RTB club to two more schools in 2025 are currently underway so watch this space!
Having established a strong framework of preventive interventions, we look forward to a stronger focus on outreach interventions for young women affected by prostitution this year.

Our work to date has also included
The provision of stationery supplies to girl child students at selected government-owned Junior High Schools in Kumasi.
The provision of toiletries and food supplies for boarding school students.
Funding of BECE examination fees for final year students who attended our LIA retreat.
Funding of healthcare costs, sexual health screenings and free access to treatment for sexually transmitted infections for the young women we support
Supporting LIA workshop alumni into further education including university and nursing training college.
